North and Vine LLC, publisher of Wine Country Daily (“we,” “our,” or “us”), operates winecountrydaily.com. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and your rights as a California resident.

What we collect and why

Automatically collected data

When you visit any page, our servers and analytics tools record your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and time spent. We use this to understand how the site is used and to improve it. This data is processed by:

Advertising

We display ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and your browsing activity across sites to show you personalized ads. This constitutes “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can opt out at any time — see Do Not Sell or Share below.

Comments

If you post a comment, we collect your name, email address, and optional website URL. Your email is never displayed publicly. We retain comments indefinitely unless you request deletion.

Newsletter

We plan to offer a free email newsletter. If you subscribe, we will collect your email address and use it solely to send you that newsletter. We deliver email using Amazon Simple Email Service (SES), which processes your address on our behalf and does not use it for any other purpose. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any edition.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal information for money.
  • We do not share your data with data brokers.
  • We do not build individual profiles for non-advertising purposes.

Your California rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident you have the right to:

  • Know — request a summary of the personal information we have collected about you and how it is used.
  • Delete — request deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of sharing — direct us to stop sharing your information with advertising partners for targeted advertising. See below.
  • Non-discrimination — we will not penalize you for exercising any of these rights.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We share browsing data with Google for personalized advertising through AdSense. To opt out:

  • Google ad personalization — visit adssettings.google.com to turn off personalized ads across Google services.
  • Industry opt-out tool — visit optout.aboutads.info (Digital Advertising Alliance) to opt out from participating ad networks.
  • Browser-level — enable the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser. We honor GPC signals and will treat them as a valid opt-out request.

Retention

Analytics data is retained for 14 months (Google Analytics default). Comment data is retained indefinitely unless deletion is requested. Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices change. The effective date at the top of the page will reflect any revision. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
