Wine Country Daily is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.
Standards
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.
What we have done
- Color contrast meets or exceeds 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text throughout the site
- All images include descriptive alternative text
- Page structure uses proper heading hierarchy
- Navigation is accessible by keyboard
- Structured data (schema.org) is implemented for all articles
- The site is tested regularly with automated accessibility auditing tools
Known limitations
Some older archived content and third-party embeds may not fully meet our accessibility standards. We are working to address these on an ongoing basis.
